Warralily Fast Facts - Geelong's Newest Community

Warralily Projects 14/04/2010

Geelong’s newest community Warralily is in a prime location nestled between the vibrant city of Geelong and Torquay, providing easy access to Melbourne via the ring road.

The first master planned community in Geelong, Warralily is also the first residential land precinct released to market within the wider Armstrong Creek region. At its completion, Warralily will offer its residents the much sought after coastal lifestyle with the benefits and convenience of community living.

  • A ten minute drive to Torquay’s famous beaches, the award winning wineries on the Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong’s vibrant CBD and waterfront, Warralily is a perfect location to soak up the best Victoria has to offer. Melbourne is only a 50 minute drive with access to the new Geelong Ring Road only a few minutes from Warralily.
  • Warralily will have a distinct environmental focus with existing conservation reserves protected and rejuvenated to their natural form. The revegetation of Armstrong Creek will be undertaken to improve the environmental qualities along the creek.
  • The reinvigorated Armstrong Creek will act as the centrepiece of Warralily’s walking tracks and central landscaping features with 9kms of creek frontage.
  • Active residents will be well catered for with 7 football ovals; 3 soccer ovals; 11 netball courts; 18 tennis courts; lawn bowls facilities; designated open space areas; a multi purpose stadium and 4 pavilions included as part of the three active recreational areas within Warralily.
  • Inspired by Melbourne’s popular running track The Tan in the Botanical Gardens, a running and cycling path will be a feature of the development. This track will also act to connect residents to nearby schools, cafes and shops via a 30km path network.
  • Warralily is more than a housing development, with a focus on safe, active and connected community living. One third of Warralily is dedicated to open space meaning that the majority of homes will be within 400 metres of a local park, playground or sporting reserve.
  • A future retail centre will be within easy access for all Warralily residents including attractive streetscape with a diverse range of shops, supermarkets, cafes and dining and plenty of nearby parking.
  • Warralily already includes Geelong Lutheran College which opened its junior and senior campus (P-8) in 2009. Three additional schools are proposed for the community including a P-12 school, primary school as well as a future kindergarten and child care facilities.
  • Telecommunication technology, including state of the art fibre optics, will be available to every Warralily home to ensure residents stay connected via high speed broadband and cable television capabilities.
  • Sustainable living is a key feature of Warralily with the inclusion of infrastructure to provide Class A recycled water to all homes while the urban landscape has been designed to maximise the capture and reuse of rainwater.
  • Vline trains service Armstrong Creek via Marshall Station which is only a seven minute drive from Warralily. Public transport improvements are being planned to meet the ongoing needs of the Warralily community.
